Catherine is a writer, photographer, and researcher whose work uses documentary and archival photography to explore place, place attachment, and displacement in public lands and waterways. She is also a communications consultant and adjunct instructor. Catherine is pursuing a PhD in Heritage Studies at Arkansas State University. Her professional background includes strategic communications, nonprofit leadership, and community development in rural communities. Catherine spends winters hiking Crowley’s Ridge and the eastern Ozarks; springs and falls exploring the region’s countless streams; and summers mostly indoors.
